What is a Wireless Router?

A wireless router is a device that combines the functions of both a router and a wireless access point. In simple words, it sends data from an internet cable to a device. This data can be shared through radio signals instead of another cable. The best wireless router is used to access the internet or a private computer network. It acts like invisible highways. The efficiency of the router depends on the number of bands it has. Most wireless routers come with four Ethernet ports for connecting PCs, TVs and other in-home gadgets to the internet. Just plug your phone or cable line into your router and data will be sent through the connection to the router. This data will be taken by the wi-fi router and will be converted to radio signals. These data will be picked up by devices with Wi–Fi capability such as laptops, tablets, smartphones and games consoles. Most of the time, you will need to enter a password to connect your devices to the wi-fi router. This is usually supplied by your ISP and can be found on the bottom of the router. You can also use your router to make calls over the internet.
